Hello riders! Just as we do every year the week before our event, we go out and drive the routes to make sure that there are not an impending road or traffic issues. Due to ongoing construction throughout Las Vegas, you never know when new road work begins and ends. After driving the routes yesterday, we have discovered road issues in two different locations along the 100 & 75 mile routes. The Alexander pass at US95 is still under construction and will not be finished in time for Saturday. Therefore we have made a slight adjustment to avoid that area. Riders will now be routed to turn right on Gowan off of Cimarron. You’ll follow Gowan East to Rainbow and make a left on Rainbow. You’ll take Rainbow North to Alexander and turn right. This gets us back onto our original route. There is also major road construction on Jones north of the I-215. With traffic being taken down to only one lane, we are now going to redirect riders before they reach that construction zone. Riders will be directed to take Jones to Dorrell and make a left hand turn onto Dorrell. Stay on Dorrell until you reach Torrey Pines. Make a right turn onto Torrey Pines. Take Torrey Pines to Elkhorn and turn left onto Elkhorn. Take Elkhorn to Tenaya and make a right turn at Tenaya. This will also put riders back on regular route at this point. We will be posting revised/corrected maps to the website today, so please check back throughout the day to download a new map. We will also have color prints for all three routes available at packet pickup for all riders.
