Time Change for Start of 60 Mile Ride

For any rider planning on doing this year’s 60 mile route, please note that the start time is being changed to 7:45 a.m. In working closely with the police department to insure rider safety, they have recommended that we split up the start times for the 80 & 60 mile rides. We will continue to make additional announcements as necessary on this website as well as our social media outlets. Thank you for your understanding.

2015 Route Maps Now Available

We are happy to announce that the 2015 route maps are now available for viewing on our site. Every year we try to make adjustments and changes to our routes to make the rider experience as enjoyable as possible. By adding some new twists and not so many turns, we try to make the experience a little unique year by year. This year we’ve done just that. We’ve eliminated a number of turns on the 80 mile route by finding some long stretches of roads that are no only safer with minimal vehicle traffic, but also minimal stop signs and traffic lights. On the 60 mile route, we’ve been able to eliminate much of the northwest portion of the course and add in a new section of Summerlin to the front portion of the ride and more of South Summerlin on the back section of the ride. This year’s event promises to be one of our most exciting to date as we will host our start and finish line at the amazing Downtown Summerlin.

2015 Start/Finish Located at Downtown Summerlin

We are very excited to announce that the start and finish for this years event is going to be hosted at Downtown Summerlin, a vibrant urban core for this award-winning, 22,500-acre master-planned community. When the entire 400-acre development is complete, Downtown Summerlin will include fashion, dining, entertainment, Class-A office, and luxe, high density, urban-style residences. Connectivity within the Downtown will be accomplished through centrally located neighborhood parks, lush streetscapes and enhanced pedestrian corridors. Bounded by the 215 Beltway, Charleston Boulevard, Town Center Drive and Sahara Avenue, this walk-able urban experience will service both the local community and the entire Las Vegas Valley.

Save The Date • 2015 Tour de Summerlin • April 18th, 2015

This will mark our 14 year anniversary and we are excited to team up again with our event charity, the Candlelighters Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada, and hopefully raise even more money than last year for this wonderful organization. This years event will feature a new location as we will be hosting our start/finish line from the newly completed Downtown Summerlin. The location will provide a new and exciting backdrop for our event, with plenty of parking and incredibly easy access from Interstate 215.

Route Updates Made to 100 & 75 Mile Rides as of 4/8/14

Please make note that we have made some slight adjustments to both our 100 mile and 75 mile routes for this year. It has always been our #1 priority to keep our riders as safe as possible by providing routes that minimize heavily trafficked areas. Please go to our RIDES page and download the newly updated routes if you are planning to ride the 100 or 75 mile routes. These updated routes eliminate a large number of street lights in the process and should provide for a safer and more enjoyable riding experience. Please make sure to share this information with family members or friends so they can download the new map. We will be providing printed maps which will be available at packet pickup. Thank you!

Registration for Tour de Summerlin 2013 comes to an end

Registration for this year’s scenic bike ride, Tour de Summerlin, closes on April 19th. The non-competitive ride has 3 routes, 100 miles, 75 miles and 40 miles.

More than 500 cyclists are expected to participate, making Tour de Summerlin one of the largest and most scenic cycling events in Southern Nevada. Whether youʼre a hard core century rider or just enjoy getting out on the bike, each route offers plenty of bike lanes and beautiful scenery.

Don’t miss out on the beautiful bike ride through Summerlin on April 20th because you forgot to register. Register now until April 18th online or head down to McGhie’s to register in person until April 19th.

The bike ride benefits Candlelighters, the Childhood Cancer Foundation of Nevada which is a non-profit agency that provides support and services for families of children diagnosed with cancer.
